The hotel was located close to a national park, which was great for nature enthusiasts like myself. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the fact that there was no Wi-Fi or air conditioning, as it allowed me to truly disconnect and relax. The design of the lodges was stunning, adding to the overall surreal feeling of the place. The staff were always friendly and helpful, providing a welcoming atmosphere. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay.

This led to some pleasant surprises, but it would have been helpful to have more details beforehand. my driver had trouble finding the hotel due to the lack of mobile and internet signal.

A hike through the park with expert naturalists offers a chance to see wildlife closer than ever before and to forge your own way into the hidden corners of the park - just like the pioneers of old. During my stay, I had the incredible experience of joining a guided hike with the naturalists and encountered a family of elephants grazing peacefully. It felt as if I had stepped into a scene from the Lion King!

The lodge offers stunning luxury accommodation in the jungle, away from tourists. Wildlife guide Charlie is knowledgeable. the highlight was the visit to Gal Oya National Park, with very few visitors. Staff were excellent and the experience was worth the expense.
